**TLE Coordinator**

Zagimē Anishinabēk is a progressive First Nations government, located around 22 KM Northeast of Grenfell Town in Saskatchewan.

**SUMMARY**:The Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) Coordinator will work closely with the Chief and Council to advance the requirements of the TLE Settlement, and further the research work on other future claims. The TLE Coordinator will be the primary contact in dealing with partner agencies such as Indigenous Services Canada, Indigenous and Northern Relations Saskatchewan, and various municipal governments, private land holders or their representatives.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work with the Council, staff, claims trustee, and Indigenous Services Canada staff to advance the work of the Treaty Land Entitlement program of the Zagimē Anishinabēk.
- Coordinate with other partners, such as municipalities, land holders and third parties in advancing the requirements of the Zagimē TLE Settlement Agreement.
- Work through the Zagimē TLE Settlement Agreement and Trust Agreement to satisfy the standards and fulfil the agreements.
- Coordinate with the settlement trustee (CIBC Securities) to ensure that necessary financial documents are processed in a timely manner.
- Identify, seek out, and process prospective land purchases and prepare the necessary documentation, including negotiations.
- Process additions to reserves in accordance with appropriate legislative and settlement agreement requirements.
- Prepare and maintain reporting and record keeping needs of the TLE Settlement program.
- Assist with other ongoing claims research and projects as directed by the Council, including record keeping and communications with related parties and actors.
- Occasional public speaking at community meetings and/or workshops.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certificate or Diploma in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years experience in land administration or land claims research.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
- Travel is required including out of province.
- Must provide a criminal record check upon acceptance.
- Must submit a pre-employment drug screening prior to commencement of employment.
- Strong computer skills, such as Office Suite, mapping, and related technologies.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
