Technical Consultant

**Summary**:
We are seeking a Technical Consultant with a strong background in software development and business analysis to join our team of experts. As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle, including business analysis. You will need to be a software generalist with a good understanding of various programming languages and technologies, and an interest in solving challenging decision support data analysis business problems.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in the business analysis portions of the discovery phase to understand client requirements and provide software solutions to meet their needs.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify technical issues and develop solutions to address them.
- Document technical solutions and provide training to clients as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Canadian citizenship
- Ability to maintain a Government of Canada Level 2 (Secret) Security Clearance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development or technical consulting
- Proficient in multiple programming languages and technologies such as JavaScript, Python, PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Strong business analysis skills with experience in gathering requirements, writing user stories, and testing
- Familiarity with software design patterns and principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong command of oral and written English
- Able to work onsite most of the time
