**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Issuance of purchase orders based on internal requests
- Review requests for new inventory items and set-up accordingly
- Enter receipts
- Process returns and/or transfer of inventory items
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with external vendors and suppliers
- Contribute to the development of short and long-range goals and objectives, ensuring that such plans support the goals, policies and vision of Action Electric
- Analyze employee and branch usage of certain goods and services ensuring compliance with corporate policies
- Review vendor invoices for pricing discrepancies and short shipments following through with the necessary corrections
- Assist in the improvement of systems and processes striving to achieve best practices for purchasing
- Receive shipments, verify goods, complete accurate and detailed paperwork, and enter materials into inventory software
- Maintain accurate inventory count, audit semi-annually
- Advise appropriate person(s) when stock has been received
- Provide inventory information to internal stakeholders, including business development, sales, and engineering teams
- Coordinate testing of returned materials with corresponding manufacturer and local Electricians and Technicians
- Liaise with the Accounting team on a regular basis to ensure packing slips and invoices are received, and that RMAs are accurately processed and completed efficiently
- Ship stock to other branch offices and customer sites as required
- Work with the Project Management and Purchasing teams to ensure all project orders are complete for staging
- Stage materials for electrician and technician pick-up, project installation, and delivery to customer sites
- Monitor consumption of consumable items and maintain stock items
- Maintain current knowledge about products, catalogue information, part numbers, and required operating stocks
- Work with the Fleet Manager to ensure all technician vehicles are kept clean and safe operating conditions are maintained
- Plan delivery schedule and route for delivery driver, act as back-up in event driver is unavailable
- Load and unload goods and materials
- Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, and vehicle mileage
- Operate company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Report any incidents or problems encountered in a timely manner
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation
- Perform other tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of electrical components is preferred.
- Experience as an Electrician (Apprenticeship and above) is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
- Excellent service, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlines
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions
