**Your Role**

CPC Pumps International Inc. is a part of the Atlas Copco Group, a world-leading industrial group present in more than 180 countries, over the span of approximately 150 years. It is a company that serves customers with innovative compressor, vacuum, power, and industrial technologies. CPC Pumps specializes in designing, manufacturing, testing, and servicing of engineered heavy duty process centrifugal pumps (fully API 610 Compliant) for the CCUS, Green Energy / Circular Economy, H2, LNG, Chem-Petrochem and power-generating industry since 1957.

CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill the role of **Finance Intern (May to August; Approximately 4 Month Contract).**

**Purpose**

The **Finance Intern** provides support to the accounting department with accounting, accounts payable, collection, invoicing, and general accounting tasks.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- General Accounting tasks, accounts payable, collection, and invoicing
- General Ledger Entry postings
- Account Reconciliations
- Variance Analysis (Profitability, GL accounts)
- Support Month-End Close and Financial Reporting
- Assistance with SAP Implementation project and company audits
- Other accounting tasks and projects as assigned.
- Ensuring expenses have receipts attached with a documented business reason
- Coordinating across departments to ensure compliance with company policies
- Ability to focus on accurate data entry in a dynamic environment
- Preparing Cheques, ACH and Wire Payments
- Filing and scanning of invoices and accounting documents

**To succeed, you will need**

**Qualification Requirements**
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail, enjoy data entry and commitment to accuracy
- Have strong organizational and time-management skills

**Education and/or Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Diploma in accounting and/or Business is preferred
- Must be part of a qualifying co-operative education program
- Strong Microsoft office (word and excel) skills
- ERP experience (e.g., ACCPAC and SAP knowledge) is an asset
- Previous office administrative and finance/accounting working experience is an asset

**Physical Demands**
- Office environment involves sedentary work with repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where problems occur, and workload is heavy
