**Position Details**

We are looking for a Jr Security Analyst, through the Holland College OJT Program, to join us supporting our Security Operations Team. This position offers an opportunity to:

- Prevent and detect cyber security incidents, vulnerabilities, and anomalous events by working with alongside Amsted Canada SOC staff. Document security incidents by creating investigation and escalation tickets according to internal corporate policies and client policies.
- Ensure detection information is communicated to appropriate parties and that related processes are continuously improved.
- Monitor and administer end user compliance with IT security best practices. Administer user education while providing an engaging internal customer service experience.
- Evaluate incident alert thresholds, and aggregate and correlate event data from multiple sources to improve baseline and detection.
- Contain and mitigate the impact of incidents and vulnerabilities by working with IT staff to follow standardized responses to vulnerabilities and non-critical incidents.
- Maintain constant awareness of the changing threat landscape to address current threats.
