Toronto, Canada Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association Full time

**Carefirst Family Health Team** is a non-profit, primary healthcare clinic that includes a team of family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dieticians, and other professionals who work together to provide community-centred primary health care services and programs to a diverse community in the Greater Toronto Area.

With two clinics located in Scarborough and Richmond Hill, the Family Health Team is committed to meeting the Ontario government’s strategy to improve access to comprehensive primary health care for Ontarians. Our team collaboratively strives to improve the health of patients and families by providing culturally sensitive and holistic primary and specialized health care services.

**TITLE: Medical Office Assistant**

**Location **:420 Highway 7 E. Richmond Hill, Ontario

**Term**: Full Time (35 hours per week); 8 to 16 week employment starting in April / May / June 2023

**Wage**: $15.5 / hour

**Department(s)**: Family Health Team

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide administrative and clerical support to the team such as data input, answer phone inquiries, schedule appointment, filing and photocopying documents, etc.
- Assist the reception team to perform duties including but not limited to greeting visitors, answering incoming phone calls, etc.
- Plan, execute and support of organization projects, initiative and programs
- Assist with conducting survey and focus group, research and evaluation initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment in order to meet Canada Summer Jobs funding requirement
- Graduated from or currently registered student in a post-secondary program preferably in Health Care background
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident (foreign students are not eligible)
- Work / volunteer experience in social services preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Customer service-oriented
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Fluent in English, and a second language that reflects the community served such as Cantonese or Mandarin, is an asset
- **NOTE**:_Cannot be used to fulfill co-op program requirements
