**About the Role**
This role provides Technical / Process Safety supports to LNG Canada Development for both Asset readiness and projects.
The role key responsibilities are to support brownfield projects and enhance LNGC’s Process Safety performance and work on improvement plans for effective compliance to HSSE & SP Control Framework. This would entail detailed understanding and contribution towards Process Safety Standards and Regulatory requirements, overseeing management systems, and promoting the highest standards of Process Safety culture, practices, and compliance, reflecting LNGC vision.
This may include setting up site management systems and standards, ensuring that the Process Safety Management (PSM) processes are implemented in line with global standards, and in providing multi-disciplinary leadership in implementing process technical safety practices and improvements for first two years of the role. The role also requires working closely with various teams in LNGC, to deliver the site plan for Process Safety, including the Process Safety Plan whilst moving from Execute to Operate phase.
The role reports to Process Engineering Team lead.

**During Project Execute Phase (Construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up, ramp up)**
**In the area related to Technical & Process Safety (while transitioning to operate phase)**
- Propose opportunities and concepts that enhance process safety and secure asset integrity.
- Support Technical Safety Lead in quality delivery of process safety excellence to LNGC asset readiness and brownfield projects delivery.
- Contribute to development and implementation of a risk based, sustainable and effective Process Safety Management program for LNGC operations.
- Act as a Technical Safety support/ expertise to a number of initiatives / identified work processes/ projects within LNG Canada.
- Identifiy, assess, and document HSE Risk reduction and control strategies for significant hazards in close coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide Process Safety guidance and support all disciplines including Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to ensure safe start-up and initial operation of the plant and brownfield projects.
- Support the delivery of process safety fundamentals and other integrity elements programme in LNGC.
- Support the Commissioning and Start Up of LNG Canada in the area of technical/ process safety covering Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR), Management of Change (MOC) reviews, HSSE in transition.
