We are currently looking for a disciplined and highly motivated **Merchandise Handler in Calgary, AB**. You will be working in a small team and will be reporting to the Plant Manager.

**Primary Focus**:
As the Merchandise Handler, you will manage the flow of goods ensuring efficient and accurate inventory control. including receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise, maintaining orderliness, and conducting regular stock checks.

**The Role**:

- Check Production schedule for good understanding
- Ensure the right package material being used
- Check the Date code. ensure its correct as per customer
- Check the cartoon, make sure it’s the right one as the customer
- Check the box label, ensure it’s the right label selected by operator
- Put the right quantity of bags in the box as required by customer
- Check the bags (look at the seals-top/bottom and middle) no open bags
- Check the product, no visible signs of foreign material inside the bags/cleanliness of the product
- Watch the bags running on the check weight-see if under weight bags or overweight bags are being rejected based on the indicator from the check weigher
- Ensure the right pouches are being used as per schedule
- Check the bins, make sure the correct bins used: - allergen/non allergen or organic
- Change of product-ensures bins are cleaned and get ready for next product (no cross contamination)
- It’s your responsible to keep your work center clean and maintained as per BRC requirements
- Any Other job as required
- At the end of the shift garbage and cardboard bins should be empty

**Employee Collaboration**:

- Communicate clear expectations for work outcomes to team members
- Escalate any concerns to the shift supervisor/Plant manager

**Safety, Training & Processes**:

- Responsible for supporting safe, respectful, and productive work environment
- Ensures that Safety, Production and Accuracy standards are met
- Proposes improvements to the assembly processes involved
- Reports safety hazards within the work environment
- Keeps the working area clean

**Qualifications**:

- **Knowledge & Experience**_
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Food Industry Experience is an asset.
- **Skills**_
- Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate information clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to explain ideas, motivate, and inspire members of the team
- **Education & Certifications**_
- High school diploma or GED

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
