Ochre Park School offers PreK-4 programming and is located approximately 35 minutes north of the City of Edmonton in the Town of Redwater. The school has a student population of approximately 190 students and a dedicated teaching and support staff working together as a team to provide exemplary education to all students. The school nurtures a safe and caring environment through offering various programs to encourage strong leadership.

**FTE**: 0.5 FTE; Part Time Permanent; 3.5 hrs/day; 8:00am to 11:30am; Ochre Park

**Initial Assignment**:

- Order and maintain inventory of food and cooking supplies
- Ensures proper sanitary conditions and daily clean up are maintained
- Ensure proper handling of all food products must be maintained to assure safety according to the school nutrition guidelines
- Plans nutrition program menus
- Prepares and serves meals during scheduled periods
- Know and understand the components of the Alberta School Nutrition Program
- Ensure students and/or volunteers follow the rules and are safe
- Other duties appropriate to the classification as assigned by the Principal

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- High School Diploma or Post Secondary Diploma or Certificate is required
- Completion of the Safe Handling Food Course is required
- Preference is given to applicants with experience in food preparation
- Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements will be considered.

**Hourly Rate**:$19.79 - $24.54 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
