At Jobsite we specialize in repairing equipment such as; electric arc welding equipment, plasma cutters, power generators, as well as a growing field of electrical construction & maintenance. Our customer base range in industries of Oil and Gas, Mining, Forestry, Automotive and Transportation - which we service Western Canada.

We are looking to add 1-2 service technicians to our growing team. The position is for a Level 4 Technician, which is shop based, full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime. The selected applicant can expect to be home every night, gain substantial experience in a specialized field, while gaining skills in electrical, mechanical, welding and even instrumentation. After completing a 3-month probationary period, employees can request additional technical training which can be provided for on products made by Kohler Engines, Lincoln Electric, Miller, ESAB, to name a few.

A typical day at Jobsite may involve certain tasks such as: troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faulty electrical / mechanical components, tear down / rebuild an engine, remove, test, or replace Diodes, replace alternators, rotors, starters, complete full engine service, build or repair welder remotes, soldering electronics, remove / install circuit boards, etc. The technician would be under the guidance of our shop Foreman, will have full access to our Vendor supplied Service Manuals, which would need to be followed very carefully.

A Level 4 Technician would require skills such as: Mechanical aptitude, understanding of electrical circuitry, ability to safely use an electrical multi-meter, ability to weld, ability to safely operate a forklift - hold a valid forklift certification, driver's license, own a selection of mechanical / electrical tools, ability to use a computer, able to clearly communicate with foreman in a professional manner.
