Mental Health-Adult I/P

The Adult Inpatient Mental Health Program offers stabilization and treatment to adults over 16 years of age. Our services offer short-term admissions for crisis stabilization, assessments of a variety of mental health spheres and coordination with community resources for follow up treatment and community support after discharge services are offered. Our team is comprised of highly skilled, multi-disciplinary staff.

Regular Part Time and Regular Full Time

Rate of Pay: $27.17 per hour - $29.10 per hour

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a PSW certificate program, Police Foundations diploma program, or a Social Service Work diploma program
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C) for which you can provide proof upon request
- Valid First Aid certificate for which you can provide proof upon request
- Ability to complete Management of Aggressive Behaviour (or equivalent) and Violence Prevention Training, High Risk SAFE management certification
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary health care team
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Automated Clinical Systems
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Immunization Requirements**:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
