**Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact**
- Develop, program, and install instrumentation and data acquisition systems based on LabView software.
- Select and procure instruments/equipment to capture vibration, load, displacement and other test measurements, etc. Considerations of proper measurement practices is required (e.g. signal filtering, etc).
- Assemble and wire data acquisition systems, including control and I/O systems
- Manage record of calibration of the lab instruments coordinate with test engineers and calibration bodies to ensure optimal calibration scheduling is implemented
- Conduct installation and/or repair of equipment, instrumentation, and test fixtures.
- Adhere to Kinectrics’ ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 quality assurance and safety protocols.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by following good quality and safety practices in all aspects of the work performed.
- Perform clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems

**What You Need to Succeed**
- Three-year college degree or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Instrumentation & Control, Electronic or other science/engineering degree is required.
- Specialized courses or experience in the field of programming, data acquisition systems, and automation is required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience writing and implementing LabView software is required.
- Experience with other programming languages is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using NI’s CompactDAQ, Keysight/Agilent or other similar hardware platforms is required.
- Experience developing LabView based acquisition and control for a laboratory environment is required.
- Experience installing measurement hardware in a laboratory environment is required.
- Advanced knowledge of analog and digital waveform recording and digital I/O cards is considered an asset.
- Experience working under ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 quality programs is considered an asset.
- Requires experience in solving problems where solutions require considerable investigation to resolve and often require integration of technical fields.
- Ability to utilize computer software programs for data management; experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of continuous improvement techniques; experience with workplace organization.
- Motor vehicle skill: holding a valid driver’s license that allows for operating motor vehicles independently;
- Physically fit: ability to move/lift/rearrange heavy items up to 50 lb; standing for extended period, crouching, kneeling etc.
