Detailer (Rebar)

With many construction projects across Western Canada, LMS Reinforcing Steel Group is actively looking for a Rebar/Shop Drawing Detailer to join our team in CALGARY, Alberta

**Duties**:

- Prepare shop drawings and detailed Bar Lists based on Structural and Architectural drawings, including adequate description to facilitate rebar installation.
- Submit Bar Lists to shop for fabrication and delivery.
- Coordinate with Installers and General Contractors to ensure project needs are met in a timely manner.
- Consult with Engineers / General Contractors / Installers as required to facilitate accurate rebar supply and installation.

**Skills**:

- Ability to read and interpret Structural and Architectural drawings.
- Drafting experience (2+ years, Microstation experience preferred).
- Detail oriented, accurate.
- Motivated self-starter, able to work under mínimal supervision.
- Strong time management
- Flexible, able to shift focus quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Construction knowledge
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs

Assets:

- 2+ years of rebar detailing experience preferred
- Computer proficient, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- MicroStation experience
- Understanding of rebar standards and practices.
- Project coordination/project management experience.
- Experience as a Rebar and/or Post Tensioning Cable installer.
- aSa experience
