HR Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:
Coordinates the HJV learning and development initiatives including.
- Sources training solutions for various learning and development requirements.
- Develops and facilitates training surveys and reports.
- Sets up and assigns training courses in the Ceridian Dayforce learning management software
- Coordinates training grants as required, looks for opportunities to utilize available grants and programs
- Coordinates HJV’s Mentoring program.

Assists with HJV’s Health & Safety program: Is a member of the JHSC, prepares safety talks, oversees training and legislative requirements, assists with updating and developing policies, sources training solutions and vendors etc.

Working with the HR team, supports employees regarding questions or information requests

Supports social media activities - promoting HJV as an employer of choice, working with the Marketing Specialist. Develops communication content and materials where applicable

Assists with HR quarterly reporting, compliance reporting and other reports as required

Exemplifies and promotes HJVs core values: _Respect for Others_, a _Spirit to Serve and Continuous Improvement._

Understands HJV’s vision and how the HR Coordinator can assist in achieving it.

Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements.

Works to ensure an excellent employee experience for our HJV team, with a focus on continuing to make HJV Equipment a best place to work.

**Requirements**:

- Graduate of HR program (diploma, certification)
- Interpersonal skills - builds trust and credibility, does what they say they’ll do, is sincere, an excellent listener, and role model of HJV values - an enabler of employee engagement.
- Understanding of HR related legislation
- Experience with training and development initiatives is a strong asset, along with LMS systems.
- Experience with Health & Safety processes and programs
- Strong computer skills, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
