**Job Summary**:
Canoe Therapy is an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team of Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Counselling and Behaviour Therapy. We value a family-centered care approach, considering the child and family as a whole and working in collaboration as a team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct detailed nutrition assessments for paediatric patients, evaluating dietary habits, growth patterns, and medical histories.
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans tailored to each child’s specific needs, conditions, and lifestyle.
- Monitor and adjust nutritional plans as needed, based on ongoing evaluations and changes in the patient's health status.
- Provide education and support to parents, guardians, and caregivers on proper paediatric nutrition, feeding techniques, and age-appropriate dietary needs.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals (e.g., paediatricians, occupational therapists, speech therapists) to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Address common paediatric issues such as food allergies, picky eating, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, malnutrition, and special dietary requirements (e.g., diabetes, cystic fibrosis).
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards of care, and best practices in paediatric nutrition.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential (required).
- Certification in Paediatric Nutrition (preferred).
- Minimum of [1-2] years of experience in paediatric nutrition or related clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex nutritional concepts to children and their families.
- Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care, with a focus on building strong relationships with families.
- Ability to work independently in a private practice environment, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of current paediatric nutrition guidelines, food allergies, and chronic conditions affecting children.
