**JOB POSTING - RECREATION COORDINATOR**

We are looking for passionate and outgoing individuals to lead our resort recreation programs for the 2024 summer season at Spring Lake RV Resort
Working closely with the Recreational Program Specialist and resort staff, the Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of consistent and creative recreation, leisure and sports programs/activities, as well as assisting the resort with events. We aim to encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle and provide opportunities for recreation pursuits for all guests in the community.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Lead high-quality recreation programs at a specified program location, ensuring there is a wide range of sport and recreational opportunities provided for guests.
- Plan and orchestrate crafts and activities that are approved by Recreational Program Specialist
- Promote and implement Kids Club, sport, family, and some adult programs
- Ensure participants are fully engaged and having fun in a safe environment
- Assist with creating resort calendars and program plans
- Periodically wear the company mascot costume and be able to bear the weight of 15lbs
- Maintain daily records of attendance, accident reports and injuries
- Demonstrate excellent customer-service skills and a positive and professional attitude when communicating with participants, parents, and coworkers
- Work with management team to ensure program supply needs are correct & purchased in a timely manner
- Monitor supplies and equipment and report any issues to the Resort Manager
- Ensure that equipment and facilities are in safe working condition and report any concerns to resort management
- Ensure communication of program literature is distributed in a timely manner (newsletters, Parkbridge website)
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Resort Manager
**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Experience in working with children
- 1 year of working in a recreational and social programming setting is an asset
- Excellent oral communication and inter-personal skills
- Enthusiastic, high-energy and positive attitude
- Must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) that is less than 12 months old.
- G/G2 Driving Licence
- Completion of training prior to start of programs (details available at interview).
- Strong analytical and evaluative skills
- First Aid training is an asset

Contract length: 5 months
**Salary**: $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week

- Mount Elgin, ON N0J 1N0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
