Job Duties:
Ÿ Manage the day-to-day operations of Machi Machi Downtown Toronto by leading all tea shop employees to deliver service excellence.

Ÿ Plan, develop and implement tea shop operational policies and procedures.

Ÿ Oversee and manage the hiring, training and retention of tea shop employees. Monitor employee performance and conduct periodic performance reviews.

Ÿ Develop staff work schedules to ensure quality services while ensuring labour costs remain reasonable.

Ÿ Manage the tea shop’s operational budget and keep relevant financial records.

Ÿ Control supplies inventory and monitors revenue to ensure maximum profitability.

Ÿ Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure all customers are satisfied with the customer service and beverage quality.

Ÿ Ensure that the tea shop complies with all necessary hygiene, health and safety, and licensing requirements and guidelines.

Ÿ Negotiate prices, arrangements, and deliveries with vendors for supplies.

Ÿ Promote and market the tea shop, while consistently assessing profitability and identifying areas for improvement.

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $22 per hour

Regular Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Location of Work: 575 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M4Y 1Z2

Benefits package: 10 days paid vacation every year or 4% of the salary in lieu of vacation pay.

Language of work: English

Education: General high school graduation certificate is required. Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management or business management is preferred.

Work experience: At least one year of supervisory or management experience in the food service sector is required.
