**Department Description**:
**Vascular Flow Lab - Victoria Hospital**

The Vascular Flow Lab is a division of the Vascular Surgery Department. The individual will perform comprehensive, diagnostic peripheral arterial Doppler Studies. Scans are used to diagnose peripheral vascular disease for Clinic Patients, Out Patients as well as In Patients.

Regular Part-Time

Rate of Pay: $34.89 per hour - $40.17 per hour

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a 3 year Diploma in a Health Related Field
- Current C.A.R.D.U.P certification
- Current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (R.V.T.)
- Minimum 2 years recent related experience performing Doppler ultrasound scans
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology
- Demonstrated workload management and organizational skills
- The ability to perform high quality examinations in a proficient and timely manner
- Demonstrated Commitment to Continuing education and professional development
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with patients, public and staff
- Have the knowledge and skills to accommodate for patient limitations.

**Immunization Requirements**:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
