**IT Job description**

**Responsibilities**
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Managing servers (onsite and/or could server)
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
- Website maintenance (WordPress)
- Be responsible for governance and security of the Power Platform
- Act as an internal expert in terms of the assigned system and is responsible for knowing what changes have been made to the base system.
- Plays a critical role in delivering high-quality service and support to various levels of internal users.
- Assist in the evaluation, development, and implementation of company systems, including custom developed, off-the-shelf, and/or hosted solutions.
- SharePoint Configuring, administration, development and deployment of SharePoint Online sites and site pages
- Perform SharePoint site maintenance and migration activities
- Ability to manage and configure remote servers and provide technical support in installing and configuring remote servers
- Perform Microsoft Azure monitoring and administration
- Ability to develop websites using one of the CMS( Wordpress, Joomla..)
- Be able to handle different IT Projects with different stakeholders
- Provide hands-on technical expertise to design and implement Power Platform based solutions satisfying client’s Client requirements.
- Work directly with clients collecting and identifying functional requirements and support various projects and solutions.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, engineering or relevant field

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1N 9K1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
