Truspace is looking for an experienced Site Manager to work alongside the Construction Project Manager to deliver a high-profile portfolio of commercial design-build and refurbishment project that exceed our client's expectations in Guelph, Ontario.

This is a temporary role beginning August 10 2023 and running for roughly 18 months - with the possibility of extension and transition into a permanent role within the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete general labour tasks on-site as needed.
- Responsible for receiving and verifying quantities of all material delivery.
- Lead and complete construction projects and tasks within the agreed-upon deadlines throughout the project.
- Coordinate sub-contractors and labourers.
- Build relationships with subcontractors, key suppliers, and other companies that support our operations.
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the client’s specifications.
- Possess the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to overall deadlines.
- Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects.
- Make sure our company policies and procedures are being followed to at all times.
- Ensure that the quality of work completed meets our high company standards.
- Ensuring all OH&S policies and other regulations are adhered to.

Desired Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
- ON-related H&S certifications.
- Able to lead an H&S Committee.
- Knowledgeable with ON H&S reporting.
- Have your own tools and be able to self-perform work.
- At least apprentice-level carpenter/millworker/general contractor.
- Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills.
- Have the attention to detail that each project requires.
- You will ideally have experience working with leasing and property managers, tenants and building operational staff
- Reliable, hardworking, strong work ethic and an ability to work as part of a team.
- You should be familiar with OBC, LEED design and Construction, and Construction Health and Safety standards.
