Physiotherapy Assistant

Physiotherapist Assistants (PTAs) will provide Physiotherapy Treatments as assigned by the Registered Physiotherapist. The role of the PTA is to assist the Physiotherapist to deliver care in a safe, professional, and respectful manner.

**Education**:
**Qualifications**:

- PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology
- Previous experience within an LTC setting an asset
- A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities
- Deliver safe and therapeutically beneficial exercise classes for groups of residents
- Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after residents' treatments
- Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatment interventions
- Record daily treatments based on a professional way and as per the need.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
