Centura is a wholesale distributor of flooring and related products that was founded in 1961 and has grown to become one of Canada’s most formidable floor covering distribution companies. Centura is looking for a full-time Tool Store associate to join their London team.

Centura Tool Stores offer our customers everything they need to prepare and install a wide range of flooring options. Centura offers a wide range of tools and branded installation products, parts and accessories. The Tool Store associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, technical expertise and building lasting customer relationships. This individual should be capable of providing tool recommendations, ensuring adequate supply levels, completing product orders and communicating with customers. This individual understands their role representing Centura and providing a positive experience for all Centura customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Making informed recommendations to customers regarding flooring tools
- Recommending solutions for customers and providing technical expertise
- Properly completing the documentation related to product orders, verifying for accuracy
- Check inventory records to determine availability of requested material
- Take payments as required, operation of credit/debit machine
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of tools, tool repairs, equipment and supplies
- Greeting all customers who come into the building
- Solving customer issues and/or complaints, and escalating to management as required
- Follow up with suppliers and communicate to customers on back orders
- Assist in ordering new tools, equipment and supplies
- Providing support for the showroom and warehouse department
- Attend training seminars when required
- Adhere to all Centura policies and procedures
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Centura Management

**Qualifications and Skill Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in a high-paced customer service role
- Knowledge of various flooring tools and equipment
- Knowledge of basic tool maintenance and repair preferred
- Able to deal with customers tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Represent and promote Centura in a competent and professional manner

**Work Environment and Physical Demands**
- Ability to lift heavy tools and equipment
- Moderate physical exertion required
- Standing and sitting for extended periods
