Job Description Summary:
Reporting into our Replenishment Manager, the primary focus of the Replenishment Analyst role is to support our supply chain strategy and customer experience as a key stakeholder in the replenishment activities across Pet Valu’s Supply Chain business areas, supporting Proprietary Brand across North America (Chico, Pet Supermarket).

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate Merchandise Financial, Promotional, Seasonal and New Store Strategies into Vendor Allocation and Replenishment strategies.
- Partner with key stakeholders (Merchandising, Vendor partners, etc.) to establish and execute purchasing strategies to support in-stock to forecast >96% on every day and promotional sales plans.
- Share rolling 13-week order forecasts and scorecards with key vendor partners.
- Manage and analyze inventory ordering requirements from vendors to distribution centers through to stores, ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve sales targets, including promotional readiness.
- Produce quarterly receipt plans to support planned sales, tracking actuals against plan and adjusting as required.
- Leverage advanced tools and analysis to determine optimal inventory required to allocate/replenish against forecasted sales to meet budget requirements.
- Set and modify business rules for order generation, days of supply, order schedules, min/max’s, seasonal activities, safety stock and presentation rules.
- Ensure appropriate service levels are maintained and managed at the distribution centers and stores.
- Ensure new SKU’s and substitutions are set up.
- Coordinate inventory/order strategies for stores/warehouses, special orders, and in-store events.
- Investigate inventory exceptions and provide solutions.
- Identify the root causes of issues such as out-of-stock and aged inventory through the collection and analysis of data and provide recommended solutions.
- Effectively document and communicate key assumptions related to replenishment orders.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports on key metrics for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with logistics and distribution partners to manage vendor returns and outside freight orders.

Experience, Education, Certifications
- Post-secondary education in business, supply chain or a related field.
- Experience in the retail industry is preferred. Pet Food, Supplies and Accessories experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, Tableau, etc. is an asset.
- Work experiences in analyst roles highly valued, especially data driven, analytical, or process improvement experience.
- Basic knowledge of Merchandise Financial Planning process inputs and outputs - MFP Methodology (Impacts to the Supply Chain processes) is an asset.
- Understanding of the conceptual balance between service level and inventory optimization.
- Strong Time and Task Management organizational skills.
- Experience collaborating across an organization with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Store Operations, Finance, and IT is considered an asset.
