**Courtyard & TownePlace Suites Toronto Northeast Markham **is a 299-room, duel branded hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. **Courtyard & TownePlace Suites Toronto Northeast Markham **is looking for someone with strong customer service skills and dedication to join our Housekeeping team as a
- **Laundry Attendant****What will you be doing?**
- Be dependable and prompt, arriving on time and ready to work in a clean uniform and a nametag
- Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers following all safety practices.
- Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, and folding arms provided
- Inspect linen on a regular basis for tears, holes or sub-standard conditions and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper
- Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, damaged linens, to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level.
- Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
- Empty lint traps after each load to ensure safety of equipment and building.
- Follow all hazardous chemical procedures.
- Assist in daily refill of clean linens, amenities and supplies in stock rooms on each floor
- Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner always.
- All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

**What are the requirements for this role?**
- Minimum of 1 years work experience in cleaning and/or housekeeping and hospitality industry is preferred. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
- Must be efficient and thorough
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required
- Strong oral communication skills are required
- Must be energetic, possess good time management skills and eager to grow and develop as part of a team
- Will also be required to work in fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Most of the time is spent walking and being on your feet.
- This is a physically laborious role
- Must be able to multitask, and work independently
- May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
- This job requires ability to perform the following:

- Frequently standing up behind the desk and front office area
- Remain stationary for extended periods of time
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Handling objects, products and equipment
