Leduc, Canada Savanna Drilling Corp Full time

Savanna Drilling Corp. is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our fast-paced team. Under the direction of the Manager, Supply Chain, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods to ensure efficient warehouse operations. This includes inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all orders are processed on time. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

**Core Responsibilities**:
Shipping
- Responsible for the shipping of all rig and rig equipment spare parts.
- Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments accurately and securely.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers and ensure timely pickup and delivery.
- Monitor shipping schedules and resolve any delays or issues.
- Responsible for the accurate recordkeeping of shipping documents.
- Provide regular shipping status updates to the field operations.

Receiving
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Document and report any discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
- Unpack and organize received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Communicate with suppliers and carriers to address receiving concerns.
- Responsible for the accurate record keeping of receiving documents.

Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records of Savanna supplies and parts and update inventory systems.
- Perform regular stock counts and assist in cycle counts.
- Identify and report low stock levels or inventory discrepancies.
- Organize and optimize warehouse storage for efficient operations.

General Shop/Yard Operations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure shop tools are kept in good working condition and warehouse inventory/spare parts are stored in an organized manner.
- Keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Local pickup and delivery tasks outside regular warehouse duties as required;
- Support other team members and departments during peak periods or special projects.

Compliance & Safety:

- Adhere to industry-specific safety standards and follow strict compliance with industry standards, OH&S legislation, and company health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety training, hazard assessments, and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

**Qualifications and Required Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2+ years’ experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software is an asset.
- May require flexibility to work overtime or varying shifts as needed.
