We are currently seeking out 1 _amazing _CAD Design Tech for our operations.

The CAD Design Technician is responsible for the design of basic drawings and performing various activities to facilitate the manufacturing of products utilizing AutoCAD and other software. This role works closely with Sales, Scheduling, Production and other personnel to ensure the most efficient use of time, materials and resources.

What you'll be doing:

- Use CAD software to create and prepare basic drawings of product to be manufactured for all new and existing parts/work orders.
- Provide clear and concise drawings for sales and production staff, including any revisions for modified specifications.
- Detect and correct design issues that may arise in the preparation of production drawings.
- Review work orders to determine job specifications and nesting requirements; producing nest that maximizes material utilization and minimizes machine set-up and operation.
- Organize and maintain digital file database for each drawing/work order.
- Interface with Sales, Scheduling, Planning, Production, Lead Hands and other personnel to determine proper work instructions are provided for all new parts setups.
- Work with production operators to determine best practice of part/drawing setup for production workflow.
- Operate/program CNC equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What gives you the edge:

- Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of Auto Cad and blueprint reading.
- Solid modeling software (SolidCAD, Fusion), PDF to DXF conversion software, Business Vision experience an asset
- Effective communication skills (both orally and written)
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work with mínimal errors.
- Ability to perform fundamental math calculations.
- Ability to work in and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
- Willingness to continuously learn.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
