Delivery and Food Support Associate

Responsibilities:

- Drive cube vans, 3 & 5 Ton Trucks, completing all required vehicle inspections and procedures, to support Harvest collection bins at front of house.
- Check on all existing Harvest collection bins at store locations - ensuring they are clean and properly labelled. Replace and restock as required.
- Follow schedule to pick up donations within and outside of the City of Winnipeg.
- Tracking weights of incoming food donations/amount of monetary donations and reporting it to the supervisor each day.
- In this role, you will also be the bank-up and support the Inventory Control Coordinator and back up the Retail Associate
- Support positive relationships with all Harvest Manitoba retail store locations, around Winnipeg and throughout the province.
- Bring retail stores’ concerns or challenges to the attention of the Manager of Food Stewardship.
- Provide general office administrative support to the Manager of Food Stewardship.
- Delivering Meals2G kits to schools
- Tracking weights of incoming and outgoing food
- Loading food contents into truck
- Driving a cube van, 3 or 5 ton truck to sites located across Winnipeg.
- Required to greet the public, understand, and empathize with sensitive issues and represent Harvest in a professional and compassionate manner.
- As a member of the Harvest Manitoba CREW, support the team however needed to ensure operational needs are being met.

- Required to be able to drive a 3- and 5-ton truck or complete Harvest provided training to learn.
- Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to greet and associate with the public in a professional and cordial manner.
- Ability to thank donors for their contributions, explain how they help our organization, answer questions relating to Harvest, and take celebratory photos of donors for social media.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent attention to detail & strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with food safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of food-security and poverty issues (an asset).
- **Required to have a valid class 5F Manitoba driver’s license.**

**- Required to have a clean driver’s history and provide a drivers abstract upon request.**
**- Required to provide a Criminal Records Check (CRC).**

**Salary**: $15.45-$17.70 per hour
