Toronto, Canada Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Full time

**Summary of Duties**

Sunnybrook’s WSIB Specialized Care Programs provide care to injured workers across the province with a focus on improving patient’s functional and psychological outcomes after a workplace injury. These services provide comprehensive assessments, follow up, and treatment to patients who have had a workplace injury, insured by WSIB.

The Clinical Psychologist will provide psychological assessment and treatment to injured workers in multiple injury streams, including workers whose primary injuries may be related to mental health, musculoskeletal injuries, chronic and/or complex pain, or other workplace-related injuries. This population may have diagnoses of PTSD, mood and anxiety disorders, substance use, concurrent disorders, pain disorders, adjustment disorders, etc.

The Clinical Psychologist works in an interdisciplinary team to provide recommendations and oversee the worker’s care to improve their functional status and well-being through evidence-based occupational-focused assessments and treatment. Care may be provided in-person at Sunnybrook’s Bayview and Holland Centre sites, or virtually depending on the worker’s needs.

In this role, you will be working with an interdisciplinary team to provide mental health assessments (e.g. with psychiatrists, occupational therapists, etc.) formulating a diagnosis, prognosis, and developing comprehensive reports including psychometric analyses to provide recommendations on further care for your patients. You will be providing and overseeing clinical treatment for patients with varied health concerns, with the aim of improving their psychological function and, with the interdisciplinary team, preparing them for return to work, if possible. Treatment may be provided in individual or group formats, and will be tailored to the needs of the patient, delivered directly by the Clinical Psychologist, or overseen by the Clinical Psychologist and provided by a psychotherapist or other health profession. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives, contributing your expertise to continually improve Sunnybrook’s WSIB programs.

This role is 3 days a week, with the opportunity for some hybrid work where possible. This role will work across two sites to provide care in multiple program streams.
