Art of Bean is looking for a talented, experienced and driven individual to join our team as Cafe Lead to work with us as we continue to grow.

As Cafe Lead you'll be at the heart of our mission to provide an exceptional and welcoming environment for our valued guests. You'll play a vital role in overseeing daily cafe operations, upholding our core values, and leading our team of talented baristas. - **Grace under Pressure**: The ability to work under pressure and navigate difficult customer service situations is crucial. A great Cafe Lead remains calm and composed, finding solutions to challenges while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- **Strong Prioritization Skills**:The role of a Cafe Lead requires the ability to prioritize tasks. The Cafe Lead should be able to recognize the most important tasks in a given situation and make decisions that are in-line with our values.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- **Scheduled Bar Hours**:Work regular shifts alongside the barista team while providing leadership and oversight of the cafe. Balancing your Cafe Lead responsibilities with hands-on involvement, you will lead by example, actively participating in operations, engaging with customers, and maintaining high standards.
- **Daily Barista Oversight**: Lead and supervise the barista team, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure exceptional customer service while upholding our standards and values.
- **Order and Stocking Supplies**:Tracking inventory and observing par levels to place orders with approved vendors. Helping to keep communication open for the evolution of par levels as the business changes and grows.
- **Store Cleanliness**:Ensuring that all checklists and cleaning procedures are completed daily and meet shop standards. Participating in cleaning, and keeping others accountable for the shared responsibility of cafe cleanliness. Ensuring that all staff understand the expectations.
- **Daily Procedures i**ncludes cleanliness but especially is concerned with the filling out of and proper use of opening, mid-shift, and closing checklists and procedures as well as those procedures continued development. For accountability purposes these must be consistently used by each barista and it is the Cafe Leader's responsibility to see that they are being used and the tasks thoroughly done.
- **Money handling**:Oversee cash handling procedures, such as opening and closing cash registers, counting cash drawers, making sure there is sufficient change, and reporting daily sales.
- **Reporting to Shop Owners**:Daily conversations and weekly meetings with Owners. Collaborating and supporting the efforts and development of the Cafe Lead position.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Previous barista experience
- Previous supervisor or management experience
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

**Hours**:

- Full Time: 30 + hours per week
- Monday - Friday + Weekend & Holiday Availability when needed
- Mornings, day time, some evenings when needed
