**Sil Inustrial** is currently hiring an **Industrial Foreman** for our division in** Bruderheim, AB.** **This is not a camp position and there is no LOA provided**

**Description**:
Reporting to the Site manager, the job of the Industrial Foreman is to co-ordinate equipment and personnel in a safe and effective manner.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of the Industrial Foreman include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure safety of work crews and adherence to permit restrictions.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
- Supervise and train workers to help ensure a safe work site.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Promote safety in all activities and engage in safe work plan development, hazard assessments and mentorship with crew.
- Drive quality, efficiency and productivity of work crews and ensure that crew has all required tools for their work, including PPE and emergency response measures.
- Conduct daily tool box meetings.
- Assess and confirm, through documentation, crew competency.
- Take corrective action to mitigate immediate hazards.
- Identify equipment and labor resource requirements for task and their utilization.
- Operate in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare associated support documentation immediately.
- Adhere to project and company environmental considerations.
- Complete daily activity reports/daily logs.
- Work with management to schedule and coordinate work tasks.
- Coordinate with other Foremen of subcontractors as required on the jobsite.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Work with the Supervisor/Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses on the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.

**Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum five (5) years as an Industrial Foreman and working primarily on industrial sites and is comfortable adhering and enforcing the stringent safety policies that are found on an Industrial site.
- In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Must have extensive knowledge of "Urban" Subdivision grading or Industrial.
- Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.
- Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology degree/diploma considered an asset.
- The following training courses would be considered an asset: Leadership for Safety Excellence, Prime Contractor, CSTS-09, Ground Disturbance Level 2, and WHMIS.
- Clean driver’s abstract. Valid driver’s license (non GDL).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support.
