Position Summary:
As Talent Acquisition Advisor for the Faculty of Education at McGill University, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to supporting the Faculty’s mission of advancing human development and redefining human potential. Under the direction of the Human Resources Advisor, the Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will be responsible for proactively planning, sourcing, assessing and qualifying best-in-class talent for the Faculty of Education positions.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Undertake all aspects of recruitment cycle from the creation of the job description to the production of the offer letter.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal clients to understand and identify current and future talent needs and advise on talent acquisition processes, activities and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to University’s staffing policies, procedures, and collective agreements.
- Work with the HRIS system (Workday) to process all the recruitment steps.
- Participate in process improvement activities related to talent acquisition such as social media presence, website design, use of online tools and reducing recruitment cycle time.
- Identify the right sourcing channels and segments to hire best-in-class talent.
- Perform in-depth analysis of compensation to ensure internal and external equity is maintained throughout all hiring decisions.
- Provide guidance and actively participate in the onboarding process.
- Participate in projects and perform other related duties as required.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
