**In this HANDS ON role you will**:

- Monitor and supervise all Quality Assurance functions and ensure that the established Quality Assurance processes are adequate and applied throughout the operations of the Company.
- Responsible for all aspects of the functioning of the operations in the Company which have a relationship with Quality Assurance and Chemical matters.
- Prepare employee evaluations, identifies employee’s skills / aptitude and training needed to improve performance. Discuss same with employees as required.
- Manage training / orientation of new QA employees to ensure successful integration into the Quality Assurance team.
- Manage the product change process and ensure that the Production Data Sheets.
- Update Master Formulation Sheet (MFS) files
- Ensure Artwork Change Forms are verified.
- Handle Certificates of Analysis or Certificates of Compliance
- Maintain that the analysis of materials from dykes is conducted and reported.
- Responsible for the coordination of the tank being cleaned and maintained.
- Ensure that the Carton Specification File is maintained and updated as per standard procedure and verify stencils for box coding.
- Approve new carton specs.
- Review new products and the Costing Data Sheets
- Verify and ensure all recipes in Automatic Blending units are in agreement with the MFS.
- Advise disposition of nonconforming products as required.
- Investigate all Customer Complaints pertaining to the quality of the item.
- Ensure that the WHMIS file is maintained and updated as needed.
- Handle & verify Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) forms & products, coordinate and process as per standard procedure.
- Ensure that scale calibration, inspection, repair, ordering new scales and updating scale information documents in a timely fashion as per

**What you will require**:

- Diploma in chemistry or higher
- 5 years progressive experience as a QA supervisor in Quality Assurance.
- ISO 9001:2015 auditor training or equivalent
- Able to perform all supervisory functions of a QA Inspector.
- T.D.G. certification.
- WHMIS certification.
- Skills to communicate effectively (in terms of verbal, written and electronic methods) in a dynamic Plant working environment.
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
- Knowledge of Fire Prevention / Safety instructions as per emergency manual.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance system.
