**At TC Transcontinental, we’ve got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.** We are currently looking for a full-time Slitter Operator to support production at our Whitby plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, this position uses machines to trim the edges off the rolls of film to produce packaging material according to product specifications.

**When your actions lead to success.**
- Loads and unloads rolls from the machine
- Checks for product quality and removes any of poor-quality film
- Runs slitter machine and watch for problems
- Once unloaded, wraps finished rolls of film and load onto pallet
- Performs various cleaning and inspection duties to maintain AIB compliance
- Performs rework as necessary

**When your expertise drives us.**
- High school Diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read a measuring tape
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple and concise instructions or information.
- Production experience
- Ability to occasionally work overtime
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly as well as ability to operate overhead hoist system to move cylinders weighing in excess of 200 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting
- Ability to tolerate strong solvent smell in parts of the plant

**Salary**: $25.23 per hour
