**Announcer**:_You will be the ‘voice’ of Rad Torque Raceway Drag Strip. Those interested must have a little automotive knowledge, as you will be required to have meaningful conversations about the various vehicles and be able to recognize the different vehicles solely based upon sight as information is not always provided and/or entered into the computer data base. A general understanding of the sport of drag racing is a definite asset. It may appear simple in concept; however, the various classes of cars and the speed in which things happen have more intricacies than meets the eye._
- The willingness to learn or get to the know racers during the course of a season or weekend is necessary. As well as having the gift to gab or story telling talent. You are not only announcing the outcome and the facts of the race, but you are also doing it in a fashion that entertains at the same time. The more knowledgeable you are about the racers and the sport the more successful you will be in this position._
- Announcing at Rad Torque Raceway also is not just about the race going on, it also involves pre race announcing as various things need to be told to racers and spectators before racing even started, sponsor read outs, future events at facility, play music when there needs for filler, The ability to make pre recoded files is a bonus _
- With the announcer position you are also responsible for the live stream feed (you tube) start stream stop stream end of day and for the information that’s added to that when needed. E.g. classes running, running sponsor adds during down times etc._
- Good organizational skills are also necessary, as you will constantly make adjustments on the fly and will be required to convey information even when there is downtime on the dragstrip._
- There is also a Drag Racing Announcer community (facebook page ) that is its own group that announcers that talk about racing. We will provide that on start date_
- The Position Work days consist of Friday night street legals, Saturday daytime some evenings, event depending as well as Sundays almost every weekend form may 3rd to sept end _

Almost all drag crew positions can be taught and learned within a few weeks. You will be expected to grow and evolve as the industry changes to better yourself and adapt. This is a fun industry to be part of, but it is still a job and you will be expected to perform. A strong interest in the industry and desire to succeed can easily overcome any lack of experience coming into the field. We are a small tight knit community, who works hard but has a blast doing it.

**Requirements**:

- Be able to work in a team environment and take direction - we work very close with one

another and at a very fast pace.
- Communicate Professionally - Good verbal communication skills are required not only internally with your teammates but and with our guests. You Are The Voice Of Rad Torque Raceway.
- Reliable transportation - Our day starts early and could end very late. Reliable

transportation, preferably yourself, is required. Because your ride cannot get you here on time or wait until the end of your shift, are not valid reasons to be late or to leave your position before the race has been completed.
- Stamina - hours can be long, and we do work in an outdoor / indoor environment; therefore, endurance is required. You must be prepared for all elements and conditions.

Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
