Under the Employment Equity (EE) Act, CRA’s National EE Staffing Strategy strives to eliminate gaps for the four EE designated groups: Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and women. Where an EE gap exists at the time of appointment, EE may be used as a staffing requirement at appointment for permanent and temporary appointments over six months made through this process. **Job duties**

**Research Analyst**:SP0651**
- Conduct and document detailed and comprehensive research in support of regulatory and disclosure activities.
- Investigate and conduct analysis of data from a wide variety of sources.
- Prepare properly sourced analytic reports and written assessments documenting research results.
- Respond to requests for information originating from other government departments in accordance with provisions of the Income Tax Act.
- Recommend and draft referral and disclosure actions in the administration of the Income Tax Act or the Charities Registration (Security Information) Act.
- Recommend, to team leaders and managers, lines of further action in support of research projects and regulatory activities.

**OR**

**Senior Program Analyst**:SP0452**
- Research, analysis and interpretation of legislation, policies and programs; provision of advice and recommendations to internal and external clients.
- Contributes to the development of operational policies, communications plans, strategies and initiatives and makes recommendations for changes to policies, procedures, guidelines, and correspondence.
- Plans and conducts office examinations of records, requests, and submissions to verify compliance with the statutes administered by the Agency and recommends appropriate courses of action.
- Provides timely review and provide feedback to colleagues on files completed by Directorate and/or Regional employees, ensuring that key issues are identified and clarified.

The pool established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions.

AND individuals with preferred status who live or work within the general rule of minimum distance of the position(s) being staffed.

**Essential staffing requirements**

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements.

**Education**

The CRA’s minimum education standard for SP07:

- Successful completion of a secondary school diploma; or
- CRA-approved alternatives*
- CRA-approved alternative to a secondary school diploma include:

- an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience determined by the staffing board; or
- a previous** satisfactory score on the CRA-approved test (General Intelligence Test - GIT-320, Pass mark 80): or
- a satisfactory score on the CRA-approved test (General Competency Test: Level 1 - CGT1-207 - Pass mark 28);
**The General Intelligence test (GIT-320) cannot be administered at the present time but a previous result will be accepted.

**Experience**
