**NEW STORE OPENING**
Please kindly note; Minimum 3 years retail manager experience required with at least 1 year in hard goods.
**Main Objectives**
To effectively manage their store in order to achieve the company objectives, for sales, hours, and profitability, according to company policies. To ensure the image and customer service standards are in accordance with company policies.
**Responsibilities;**
Meeting and exceeding sales objectives
Providing professional customer service by ensuring every associate is trained in the 4 Non-Negotiable Standards.
Controlling budgeted hours without exceeding plan.
Recruitment, hiring and training of applicants who meet the company’s high degree of integrity.
Ensuring that associates sales objectives are set and met on a daily basis.
Establishing an Action Plan to maximize sales results.
Ensuring the Black Book is up-to-date at all times and available to all associates and DSM when in store
Ensuring all directives from Head Office are understood and communicated to all staff and that these directives are respected.
Ensuring follow-up is done after DSM has reviewed Store Visit Report with Manager
Communicating them Sense of urgency that is required to make certain that:
All markdowns are done according to deadlines established by H.O.
All red tickets and slashes are done according to deadlines established by H.O.
All related signage is placed strategically according to instructions from H.O.
Ensuring Effective Scheduling according to Stokes directives
Sharing statistics with staff (UPT, Ave Sales) and sales trend with respect to bonus achievement
Keeping all staff updated on the stores’ Objectives, Promotions, New Arrivals, New Policies and Procedures, new Forms, etc.
Creating a strong Team Spirit and motivate this team at all times
Ensuring that all associates have good product knowledge
Delegating tasks that will ensure the store is running at 100% efficiency at all times
Receiving, unpacking and placing merchandise in appropriate locations
Making certain the Sales floor as well as Back-Store and off site storage (if applicable) are neat and organized
Complete knowledge of the POS system
All other tasks or duties as requested by Superiors
**Visual and Marketing;**
Ensuring that all Visual changes are done according to standards and on time
Ensuring that all Signage is done according to directives
Ensuring that Visual Merchandising Standards manual is kept up-to-date
Ensuring that all staff is trained on our Visual Standards
**Human Resources;**
Study the forms that are used for HR purposes and ensure that they are always completed as per instructions and payroll deadlines
Training of staff regarding all aspects of their workplace responsibilities
Conducting individual yearly performance evaluations
Progressive disciplinary measures to be taken with the appropriate time-delays should a staff member require it.
Following Health and Safety regulations established by Provinces and making certain applicable rules and regulations are posted for employees.
**Policies and Procedures;**
Understanding, execution and follow-up of all corporate directives in terms of paperwork, reports, policies and procedures
Ensuring all store personnel know, understand and comply with the policies and procedures as per the company Policy and Procedures manual
**Loss Prevention & Security;**
Ensuring all store personnel know, understand and comply with the policies and procedures concerning Security and Loss Prevention
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
