Stuyver's has enjoyed steady growth over the years, and we are looking for a Sanitation Supervisor with experience working in a manufacturing facility (even better in food production) to bring their expertise to our operation.

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sanitation team; ensuring compliance with the company’s sanitation protocols and cleaning practices in all areas of the facility. Our ideal Supervisor sets an example for the team, promotes team collaboration, is a strong problem solver, and is a safety champion

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor on-going cleaning and sanitation activities within a multi-shift operation to ensure there is no food safety risk, and that the sanitation process and outcome is effective.
- Schedule sanitation employees accordingly to ensure tasks are completed on a timely basis.
- Perform daily/weekly sanitation tasks immediately after production based on the sanitation tasks list.
- Verify the effectiveness of the sanitation tasks to ensure completion as per the sanitation tasks list.
- Maintain sanitation tools inventory by using the ‘sign-in -sign out’ control sheet.
- Conduct chemical inventory, complete the requisition form to specify required chemicals and submit to purchasing for ordering.
- Ensure sanitation employees are trained on Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOP) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); maintain training records and re-train/update as required.
- Cross train employees in different jobs within the department, utilize established rotation pattern.
- Maintain and organize sanitation reports, work in conjunction with QA department for verification.
- Communicate with the maintenance team; addressing any non-conforming equipment immediately so that deficiencies are corrected prior to starting production.
- Responsible to draft and/or amend Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOP).
- Maintain and promote a safe working environment within the department, complying with all Company and WorkSafe BC standards.
- Maintain strict adherence with Company food safety programs, HACCP regulations and SQF standards.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

**Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- 1 - 3 years of experience in sanitation, including at least one year in a supervisor/leadership role.
- Chemical & Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) knowledge and experience.
- Experience in a sanitation environment using designated equipment in a production facility.
- Strong implementation, planning, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and using computer programs for record keeping and time management of employees.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members across the organization.
- Demonstrated experience with coaching and mentoring a team.
- Reliable, dependable and lead the team by example.
- Self-motivated, results orientated, and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to identify potential issues and solve problems.
- Work well under pressure and take accountability for the sanitation team and department.
- Ability to read, write, follow instruction, and communicate in English.
- Strong attention to proper work procedures, food safety, and working safely in a production environment.
- Flexibility at times when needed (our operation runs 24 hours x 7 days a week)
- A willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas to improve team performance.
