Greater Montreal Area, Canada Playground Full time

Playground has started on the planning and execution phases of our monthly themed events and promotions for the year. Located just 15 minutes from Montreal, Playground is seeking an **_Events Coordinator_** who will be responsible for creating, planning, coordinating and executing special events such as live music, comedy shows, dance shows, speciality acts, magicians, and themed events, etc. S/he will encourage and promote guest participation and bring excitement to the property driving revenue and providing exceptional guest service.

Reporting to the Events and Promotions Manager, the Events Coordinator will play an integral part in the implementation and execution of the strategic plan and vision for Playground’s Entertainment Division.

**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following**:

- Understanding the complex needs of different events
- Coordinating event entertainment, including music and performers
- Identify, place orders for, and confirm internal & external work orders & rental supply orders are complete and signed off
- Work with vendors to coordinate audio/visual, signage, promotional items, entertainment, photography, etc. to ensure high quality events that remain within the set budget
- Communicate details to gaming, F&B and hotel operations teams, regarding food and beverage, audio visual requirements, room/stage set-up, billing and décor
- Promote positive guest/employee relations
- Provide administrative support as needed

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Degree/Certificate preferred in Events Management, Business, Marketing or Public Relations
- 3-5 years experience in live show production preferably in a high-volume environment
- Resort or entertainment environment preferred
- Superior organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to thrive under pressure

Situé à 15 minutes de Montréal, Playground est à la recherche d'un(e) **_coordinateur/trice d'événements_** qui sera responsable de la création, de la planification, de la coordination et de l'exécution d'événements spéciaux tels que des concerts, des spectacles de comédie, des spectacles de danse, des numéros spéciaux, des magiciens, des événements à thème, etc. Il/elle encouragera et promouvra la participation des clients et apportera de l'enthousiasme à la propriété en augmentant les revenus et en fournissant un service exceptionnel aux clients.

Relevant du directeur des événements et des promotions, le coordonnateur des événements jouera un rôle essentiel dans la mise en œuvre et l'exécution du plan stratégique et de la vision de la division du divertissement du Playground.

**Les responsabilités comprendront, sans s'y limiter, les éléments suivants**:

- Comprendre les besoins complexes de différents événements
- Coordonner le divertissement des événements, y compris la musique et les artistes.
- Identifier, passer des commandes et confirmer que les commandes de travaux internes et externes et les commandes de fournitures de location sont complètes et signées.
- Travailler avec les fournisseurs pour coordonner l'audio/visuel, la signalisation, les articles promotionnels, le divertissement, la photographie, etc. afin de garantir des événements de haute qualité dans le respect du budget fixé.
- Communiquer les détails aux équipes des jeux, de F&B et des opérations de l'hôtel, en ce qui concerne la nourriture et les boissons, les exigences audiovisuelles, l'installation de la salle/scène, la facturation et le décor.
- Communiquer avec les sponsors de l'événement sur les détails de l'événement pour s'assurer que les avantages sont correctement reçus et exécutés. Il s'agit notamment de demander et d'envoyer les factures par courrier électronique, de suivre les paiements et les besoins en accessoires.
- Promouvoir des relations positives entre les invités et les employés
- Fournir un soutien administratif selon les besoins.
