Construction Foreperson

Macadam Construction is a Halifax based construction company that is involved in developing large civil projects from subdivisions to commercial plazas.

We are looking to hire a skilled and motivated Full-Time **Foreperson** to lead and supervise our crews by coordinating and overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.

In addition to a top end salary, this position includes a vehicle, gas allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide clear direction to crew members to achieve project objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, that promotes teamwork, professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate and schedule construction activities and the delivery of needed materials to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor work sites and ensure tasks are completed on time and in compliance with project specifications, industry codes and standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular meetings and inspections.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of construction equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Work proactively, identify challenges, solutions and maintain clear communication with project managers regarding project status, challenges, and progress.
- Keep accurate records of daily construction activities, including work completed, materials used, and labour hours.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner during client interactions.
