Key Responsibilities:

- Acts as QA representative on shift in decision-making and issue investigations as well as resolution recommendations, escalating serious issues to production management and QA management as required.
- Performs in-process document auditing and product quality checks in production and ensures all issues are communicated to production employees, production management and Quality Assurance (QA) management;
- Collaborate with production team to monitor that all work performed is in accordance to the Quality Management System and evaluate all standard operating procedures and execute all compliance systems to ensure effectiveness of all program
- Assist with third party audits (Health Canada, SQF and/or customer) and ensure floor is audit ready at all times.

Quality Management/Systems
- Conduct Pre-Operation Inspections & Swabbing
- Conduct In-Process Batch Record / Epicor Inspection Review
- Conduct In-Process Batch Sampling & Testing
- Conduct In-Process Package Integrity (I.e., Double Seam) Sampling, Testing, and Inspection
- Conduct In-Process Lot Code & Label Verifications
- Conduct Finished Good AQL Inspections
- Initiate In-Process NCR Investigations, and Audit Comments for Closure
- Conduct Finished Good Sampling, Testing and Retention.
- Conduct Finished Good Inspections Prior to Shipment
- Conduct Monitoring, Verification, Validation and Compliance Activities as assigned.
- Responsible to adhere to, maintain and promote a positive quality message and compliant company culture.
- Initiating, reviewing and following up on change controls, non-conformances, and CAPAs to ensure timely processing and closing.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Attributes
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in the food, pharma, natural and non -prescription health products or cannabis sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in science related field and/or technical diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP and other food safety requirements such as SQF is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office with emphasis on Office 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
- Demonstrated experience in a team-based environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a team based, matrixed, ambiguous environment.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting demands and to prioritize accordingly.
- Leading through change management and building value based relationships
