**JOB SUMMARY: UNDER THE GENERAL AUTHORITY OF THE MANAGER OF STUDENT SERVICES AND THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF THE STUDENT ACTIVITIES ANIMATOR, TO ORGANIZE ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS TO ENHANCE STUDENT LIFE ON CAMPUS, EITHER AS A COMPLEMENT TO EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OR AS RECREATION.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participate in preparation and implementation of programs and activities which are designed to facilitate the developmental needs of the student population of the College- Participate in the selection, scheduling and evaluation of activities and programs
- Publicize through various media on campus the information necessary to promote the activities and programs developed by the Student Activities Department (social networking, Omnivox, posters, TV’s)
- Assist students groups in co-ordination of their own animation projects
- Participate in the supervision of student workers employed by the Student Activities Department
- Participate in the co-ordination and scheduling of Agora activities
- Supervise set-up, take down and maintenance of equipment used in all Student Activities projects
- Issue ID cards for students and staff
- Act as advisor to selected groups of students/clubs
- Assure the maintenance and inventory of department equipment
- Assist in providing audio for various performances
- Liaison with the public transportation services
- Perform any other related tasks as may be assigned

**EDUCATION**:College diploma (DEC) in an appropriate specialty (Recreation/Leisure) or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
- **SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 4 years related experience at the CEGEP level preferred
- French intermediate
- Must be available to perform overtime hours as needed (approximately 100+ hours per semester)
- Must be autonomous and have demonstrated ability to resolve problems
- Ability to relate well and mobilize students
- Must work well as a team member
- Autonomous - able to work with mínimal supervision
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Work hours: 10am until 6pm unless stated otherwise

- French - intermediate (Oral, Written, and Comprehension)
- Word - intermediate
- Excel - intermediate
