Production Foreman

Flex-Pression Ltd. is a manufacturer of flexible metal hose and expansion joints since 1973. Our products and services are used in a wide variety of heavy industries. Our products are manufactured in accordance to specific certifications and stringent quality control processes.

Reporting to the Production Manager (PM), the Foreman will be responsible for ensuring day to day production requirements and obligations are fulfilled. The main functions of the role will be:

- Daily visual management (DVM) on operation flow of materials
- High focus on daily SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost)
- Responsibliity for supervising & monitoring all workstations - hourly on site
- Reporting to the PM any discrepancies is material or operational flow
- With the PM and team leaders, ensure efficient flow of production by respecting qualitative and quantitative standards and by optimizing the use of human and material resources (forklift drivers, day laborers, and operators)
- Maintain the health and safety standards in force in the company as well as according to CNESST standards
- Ensure product compliance with current company QC/QA standards
- Ensure the development of personnel in order to meet the growing needs of the company
- With the help of the PM, develop systems, analysis processes and reports, to monitor and optimize productivity, in order to ensure profitability
- Participate in meetings related to health and safety management
- Document all problematic situations relating to personnel, quality, and equipment and transmit to management
- Daily Team motivation
- Conflict management between employees
- Ensure with the team the cleanliness of each workstation at the end of the shift
- Perform all other related tasks as directed by PM

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in leading production teams required
- Proven experience in various roles across production
- In-depth knowledge of production procedures, equipment and safety guidelines
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Problem-solving and excellent multi-tasking abilities in a high paced environment
- Good physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.), an asset
