Industrial Operations Supervisor

Toromont Power Systems is looking for an Industrial Operations Supervisor. The Industrial Operation Supervisor has responsibility for the project operations, including safety, supporting project coordinators, technicians and A&I engineers, training and development plans, quality control, process and operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Also supporting the Sale teams.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:
- The incumbent is responsible for the operational management of all activities and functions related to the management of projects as well as production, from project procurement, execution, to completion. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for managing and developing a team of professionals.
- Manage the production and delivery of projects across Ontario and Winnipeg.
- Lead and support A&I engineering team.
- Lead efforts in resolutions for customer requirement and delivery
- Coach and motivate project coordinators, technicians and A&I engineers on Toromont and Caterpillar policies to ensure personal, regional and corporate goals are aligned and achieved
- Review and monitor KPI’s related to project management, production, and quality control
- Promote and participate in workplace safety in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety policies and programs, aligning with industry best practices
- Manage team development objectives and plans to ensure project KPI’s and customer satisfaction objectives are met.
- Manage and execute training requirements, performance evaluations and coaching sessions for direct reports.
- Provide input in the development of capital expenditure requirements, operating policies, communication and project objectives
- Support sales team for business development
**Must-haves for this role**:
- Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience
- Project management experience or PMP certification an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Conflict management ability
- Decision-making
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to influence and motivate others
- Proven business and financial acumen
- Strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, deadline driven environment
- Ability to work under stress
- Self directed, independent and a team player with strong initiative
- Computer and systems literate with proficiencies with DBS, Excel and Word
- Knowledge of CAT SIS, or experience with Toromont operations would be an asset
