Purple Moose Cannabis was the first cannabis retailer to open in Oshawa, Ontario. Since opening in 2019, the company is continuing to expand and open additional stores in Courtice, Ontario as well as two new stores in North York.

As a Team Lead for Purple Moose Cannabis you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail environment. You will participate in leading a team of educators, maintaining an inviting and compliant store, and providing excellent customer service to our valued clients.

**Team Leadership**:

- Create and maintain a positive work environment that implements teamwork and high morale with staff.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to following company policies and regulations.
- Respond and resolve staff inquires and issues, and report to store management, if necessary.
- Work closely with store and company management to fulfill store staff, customer and corporate goals

**Store Standards**:

- Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor from open to close
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to maximize business
- Review and update product displays to ensure the customer experience reflects available product and sales priorities
- Ensure all store product is displayed and priced with full up to date information
- Ensure an efficient standardized back of house lay-out to maximize filling efficiency, ease of re-stocking, ease of inventory counting and control of shrink
- Report all fixtures and fittings that call for replacing or repairing with the minimum of delay
- Maintain all staff and back areas are clean and tidy, including back of store garbage area
- Ensure exterior of store, and customer entrance area are clean and presented as new everyday

**Customer Service**:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, providing information on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

**Inventory Management**:

- Assist in inventory receiving, managing and organizing inventory to ensure product availability and freshness.
- Monitor and track inventory levels, alerting management to reordering needs.
- Assist with inventory audits and reporting as required.

**Compliance and Security**:

- Ensure strict compliance with all local and AGCO regulations governing the sale and distribution of cannabis products.
- Overseeing security protocols with staff, including verifying customer identification and maintaining a safe store environment.
- Assist in the execution of compliance checks and audits as required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years retail experience, preferably in a supervisor or management capacity
- Resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented
- Ability to work, plan, prioritize and organize
- A leader with a proven ability to train others and retain talent
- Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- You are passionate about cannabis and are excited to bring it to market for recreational purposes
- You are open to feedback and coaching
- You demonstrate high levels of integrity and personal responsibility
- You are trustworthy and customer-oriented
- Mathematically inclined and have strong cash handling abilities
- Minimum age 19 years of age as specified by the provincial government
- Able to lift boxes 5-30 lbs
- Must be flexible with hours of work and be comfortable with ever changing duties
- Can Sell certification required
- Criminal Background check required
