**What You’ll Do**:
**Order Selection**
- Match product against purchase order and hand select from locations and areas in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lifting and stacking products onto pallets using proper lifting techniques
- Ensure proper first in-first out practice is followed with inventory and rotate inventory, as necessary.
- Inspect product to ensure saleable condition, identify minor defects (i.e leakers)
- Segregate substandard/defective product for disposal / destruction or rework
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to deliver and maintain food safety standards
- Engage an electric pallet jack, or forklift, to transport products.
- Perform pre
- and post-trip inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment
- Shrink-wrap product on the loading dock.
- Always follows preferred work methods, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
- Perform tasks in a multi-temperature environment (e.g. Dry/Cooler/Freezer)

**Receiving**
- Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment.
- Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments.
- Read work orders or receive oral instruction for work assignments.
- Read orders to ascertain quantities of merchandise.
- Fill orders from warehouse stock, complete order receipts, and assemble orders to be shipped.
- Use barcode scanning equipment to maintain computerized stock inventory.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods to appropriate store areas and ensures physical inventory is always secure i.e., wrap and secure loads prior to transport or storage.
- Unpack received products and count or sort items.
- Stock locations and keep stock clean and in order.
- Operate, navigate, or drive mechanized material handling equipment.
- Communicate problems with material handling equipment, structures, or materials.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
- Provide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issues or material spills.
- Complete activity logs to record tasks completed during the shift.

**What You Need to Get the Job Done**:

- High school diploma or equivalent years of experience
- Preference for 1-3 years of experience.
- Preference for a minimum of 1 year of experience using communication devices (e.g. voice pick systems, scanning equipment (e.g. bar code scanning equipment)
- Preference for a minimum of 1 year of experience using material handling equipment (i.e. dollies, forklifts, hand trucks, pallet trucks)
- Demonstrated experience with reading comprehension, basic mathematics, quality control, coordination and time management
- Strength and stamina are required as much of the work day is spent on the feet, lifting and sorting product/materials. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
