**Lac Ste. Anne County is seeking Seasonal Agronomics Inspectors to join the Agricultural Services department.**
**The County seeks Seasonal Agronomics Inspectors. This is a seasonal position for approximately 16 weeks, from May 6 to approximately August 30.**
**Key Requirements**
The responsibilities to be undertaken by this individual is as follows:
- Conduct inspections under the authority of _Alberta's Weed Control Act, and Agricultural Pests Act;_
- Create and maintain accurate records for all activity and inspections;Conduct crop and field inspections for insects, pests, and diseases;Keep detailed records of activities;Communicate effectively with ratepayers within the County;Actively participate in the Lac Ste. Anne County Health and Safety Program.
- _Training is provided for all of the above tasks, as required._
**Qualifications**
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence must provide a driver’s abstract upon request;
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public;Possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to operate County equipment in a safe and responsible manner;Able to complete routine maintenance and servicing on equipment and vehicles;Familiar with GPS, and computer use, or the ability to learn the operation of this equipment;Familiar with legislated pests, weeds, and disease, or the ability to learn their identification;Knowledge of the
- _Agricultural Pests Act_
and the _Weed Control Act _is considered an asset; Exhibits initiative and good judgement to produce quality results and complete duties with mínimal supervision.

Contract length: 16 weeks
**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
