General Information on the Position

Providing a solid understanding

You will receive end-of-summer reviews as well as constructive feedback from your business manager throughout your placement. Great care and resources have been devoted to ensuring that at the end of the summer you have a solid understanding of the elements necessary for a successful career in Corporate Banking.

- Develop a broad understanding of the Corporate Banking business through exposure to several industry sectors.
- Develop a solid set of credit and financial analysis skills, and a deep understanding of the Canadian loan syndicated market.

Main responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of annual loan reviews and amendments- Assist with loan and related documentation review- Establish and maintain various databases designed to assist with both credit analysis/approval and new client/business development activities- Prepare pitch books to support new client business and for internal presentation purposes- Perform Ad hoc responsibilities to be determined on an ongoing basis.

- A minimum of one year of relevant experience-
- Undergraduate degree to be completed by the Spring term of the following year-
- Clearly defined interest in Corporate Banking and/or Financial analysis- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities- Specific knowledge- Knowledge of Quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory.Desjardins Cross-sector skills
