Stonehenge delivers long-term, intensive residential treatment services to those whose addiction/concurrent presentations are complex. Many of our clients enter treatment directly from the Federal and Provincial correctional systems.

About the Role: *

This role will work collaboratively with the Clinical Leadership in support of STC's Therapeutic Community (Residential Program). Previous experience working in a residential treatment environment and group facilitation skills are essential to this role.

- Full Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: *
- Monday to Friday (days), with evening and weekend work on a regular and rotational basis to effectively support oversight of staff teams.
- Participation in a mandatory clinical 'on call' rotation is also required, as a shared responsibility of the Clinical Leadership team.

**Qualifications**:

- BSW or other relevant university degree relevant to addiction, mental health or social services
- A minimum of 1 year of direct clinical work with individuals experiencing addiction and concurrent mental health issues required
- Previous experience in the field of addictions and group skills mandatory
- Previous experience working with trauma and concurrent disorders
- Previous experience in residential treatment an asset
- Previous experience in correctional field an asset
- Previous experience with justice-involved individuals preferred
- Experience providing clinical supervision and team leadership
- Certified Addictions Counsellor or equivalent would be an asset
- Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record and Reliable Vehicle
- CSC Clearance conducted by PWGS Canada
- Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
- Must be able to attend work (travel to Residential Centres) within an hour of notification, when on call

Role Responsibilities: *

Leadership and Supervision
- Oversee the Residential Support Staff team and Group Facilitator team including:

- Supporting professional development of clinical staff through routine supervision
- Providing coaching, feedback, mentoring, and targeted use of supervision as required
- Complete probationary and annual performance appraisals for all supervisees in consultation with Clinical Manager - Residential Services
- Participate in new staff recruitment in conjunction with the HR Manager
- Orient and support new staff in understanding role and responsibilities
- Build and maintain high performance teams
- Guide clinical decision-making and manage high-risk situations
- Provide on call support and crisis supervision on “off hours”, on a rotational basis, as required
- Facilitate monthly meetings for the Residential Support Staff
- Participate in all team meetings
- Support and enhance a culture of openness and mutual respect within and across teams
- Attend weekly Leadership Team meeting
- Participate in a support/development plan; Supervisor to provide coverage for the Clinical Manager during short term absences (holiday coverage, etc.); take on necessary responsibilities and support agency and program decision making
- Perform additional responsibilities as required

Ongoing Program Development for Residential Services
- Conduct Therapeutic Community Concepts Training for staff and residents
- Support residential staff in utilizing a TC approach to decision making and interventions
- Work alongside the STC Leadership Team, while utilizing the TC approach, to support program development

Administrative
- Complete regular clinical file audits
- Maintain thorough and accurate supervision notes and files
- Participate in quality assurance processes such as accreditation and the implementation of residential program outcome measurement tools and reporting of results (i.e. client satisfaction surveys, retention results, etc.)
- Sign off hours for electronic payroll
