**Job Responsibility: Parts Advisor**

**Position Overview**: The Parts Advisor plays a crucial role within Nixon Automotive by providing essential support to our customers and technicians. This role involves a range of responsibilities related to BMW parts, inventory management, and customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Quoting**:

- Provide accurate price quotes for BMW parts to customers promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that quotes are competitive while maintaining profitability for the dealership.

**Answering Phone**:

- Responsibly handle incoming phone calls, addressing customer inquiries related to parts.
- Offer expert guidance and assistance to customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

**Outsourcing Parts**:

- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source BMW parts not readily available in our inventory.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals for the dealership.

**Inventory Control**:

- Maintain a well-organized and efficient inventory of BMW parts.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and take appropriate actions to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

**Ordering Parts**:

- Place accurate and timely orders for BMW parts with suppliers.
- Track order status, coordinate with other departments, and ensure on-time delivery of parts.

**BMW Experience**:

- Utilize in-depth knowledge of BMW vehicles and parts to assist customers in selecting the right parts for specific repairs or upgrades.
- Offer technical advice and recommendations based on vehicle specifications.

**Technical Knowledge**:

- Interpret BMW diagrams, technical documentation, and part catalogs to accurately determine the required parts for various repair and maintenance tasks.
- Keep abreast of BMW's latest technical updates and product offerings.

**Pressure Handling**:

- Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak business hours.
- Maintain professionalism and composure when dealing with high-pressure situations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on BMW parts and services.
- Extensive knowledge of BMW vehicles, their components, and the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with computer systems and inventory management software.
