**Job Summary**:
Responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, and selection of the supply base for Compass & Foodbuy Member Development customers.

Now, if you were to join our dynamic team as one of our **Sourcing Specialist**, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

- Optimize commercial value in the supplier/business unit relationship related to your sourcing projects
- Develop sourcing plan for assigned projects by working with business units to ensure that suppliers align with business units needs and category business plans.
- Define best sourcing procurement process for respective projects e.g., Traditional RFQ/RFP/RFI, online Auction, Collaborative sourcing, multi-even negotiations, etc.
- Manage and administer the 7-step sourcing process for assigned categories, including evaluation and selection of suppliers, as well as negotiation to ensure the lowest net price to achieve business profitability and to meet service needs.
- Research and analyze industries related to the sourcing initiatives
- Select vendors that can best meet all supply chain and business needs requirements delivering the greatest return on investment
- Manage and administer the master contract management system for all spends within scope, including RFP development, identification of preferred supplier pool, supplier performance management, negotiation, execution of contracts and transitioning projects back to category team upon completion.
- Ensures projects are upheld to business standards prior to implementation. Areas addressed include, but not limited to, product cuttings, quality, technical, regulatory, and legal compliance, finance reporting, marketing, and consumer acceptance, manufacturing, and supply chain deployment.
- Collaborate with US Sourcing and Category Development teams on sourcing projects throughout the year.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Several years of relevant work experience in a relevant position, preferred proven experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management with a track record of solid management behaviour and results.
- PMAC certification would be an asset (but not required).
- Strong written and presentation skills.
- Expert negotiating skills.
- Establish working relationship with customer business managers, committed customers to be able to gain traction on sourcing projects related to our Members.
